Civilian Awards
Civilian Awards are a souvenir of honor which is awarded to the common people for showing acts of bravery. Bharat Ratna, Padma Vubhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri are the various civilian awards.
Bharat RatnaBharat Ratna is the premier civilian award, to serve the nation. The various fields are scientific achievements literary, scientific accomplishment, as well as the gratitude of community service of the highest category. From 2011, the Prime Minister and the Home Minister of India changed the qualified criterion to permit sportsmen for receiving the award. It was first acknowledged by the President of India, Rajendra Prasad, on 2nd January 1954.
Padma VubhushanRanking wise the second award is the Padma Vibhushan in the Indian Republic. It contains a quotation and a medal. It presented by the Indian President. It was set up on 2nd January 1954.It awarded people from various fields including government service to distinguish extraordinary service for the country. In the end of 2012,288 people were awarded.
Padma BhushanThe Padma Bhushan is the highest civilian award third in rank in the Indian Republic,and comes after the Bharat Ratna and the Padma Vibhushan.The Indian Government presents this award. The President of India launched this award on 2nd January 1954. Illustrious service of high category in whatsoever field to the country. As of January 2010, 1111 people have thus far received the award
Padma ShriPadma Shri or Padmashree is the fourth award high in order in the Indian Republic, after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan. It is awarded by the Government of India. It is awarded to citizens of India for their distinguished contribution in several fields including Education, Literature, Arts, Science, Industry, Social Service, Medicine, Sports and Public Affairs.
Gallantry Awards
The Gallantry Awards are those kinds of awards which are presented for courage, valor and dignity. It’s presented for bravery and audacity. There are different types of gallantry awards like Param Vir Chakra, Vir Chakra and Mahavir Chakra. The description of the different kinds of awards is provided below.
Param Vir ChakraIndia's highest armed forces beautification award is known as the Param Vir Chakra (PVC) is awarded for the uppermost height of fearlessness or forfeit during wars or battles. It was started on 26th January 1950 that is Republic Day by the Indian President. It came into result from 15th of August 1947 that is Independence Day. Awarded to officers or listed people from all categories of the Indian Armed forces. The subsequent uppermost award of the Indian government after Bharat Ratna is the PVC.
Maha Vir ChakraThe (MVC) or the Maha Vir Chakra is the second martial beautification and is won for performing noticeable heroism when enemies are present, irrespective of land, sea or air. Maha Veer meaning amazingly courageous. In July 1948 and 8 December 1971 Colonel Chewang Rinchen and in 2 November 1965 and January 1972 Brigadier Sant Singh won the Maha Vir Chakra.
Vir ChakraLike other gallantry awards Vir Chakra is awarded heroism in the battleground. It is an embellishment third in preference of the Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra. The award was set up by the President of India on 26 January 1950.It came into effect from 15 August in the year 1947 that is when India got its Independence. The decree amended on 12 January, 1952 suggests readapting the decorum of wearing as new decoration as the mark of honor was constituted.

The Literary Awards are those awards which are given in the varied fields of literature.
Ananda Purashkar
Ananda Publishers sponsored these awards to the many writers who use Bengali as their language and reside in West Bengal. This award ceremony occurs annually and The Ananda Purashkar is an award for Bengali literature. There have been several recipients of this award down the years. The Ananda Purashkar was also awarded to the Bangla Academy of Bangladesh in the year 1993. The Bangla Academy had refused to accept the award then. In 2010 and 2011 Sunanda Sikdar Dayamayir and Gautam Bhadra got the awards for Katha and Nyara Bot-tolaye Jai Ko-bar?
The Hindu Literary Prize
The Hindu Literary Review sponsors The Hindu Best Fiction Award or The Hindu Literary Prize, a part of the The Hindu Paper. It is a literary award of India established in 2010. It is a part of The Hindu paper. It distinguishes Indian works in English translation and in English as well. The award was named The Hindu Best Fiction Award in the year 2010. Rabindra Puraskar
The Rabindra Puraskar is considered to be the greatest literary award to be given within West Bengal, India. This award has been organized by the West Bengal Government in collaboration with the Paschimbanga Bangla Academy or the Bengali Academy of West Bengal, Kolkata. Books about Bengal, Non-fictional books and Creative literature in Bengali as well as other languages are the fields which get selected.
Vayalar AwardVayalar Awards are given for the best legendary job in Malayalam.In 1977 the awards came into being by the Vayalar Ramavarma Memorial Trust in recollection of the writer and song writerVayalar Ramavarma (1928-1975). A sum of Rs.25, 000/-, a silver plate and official document constituted this reward. It is offered annually on 27th October, the death centenary of Vayalar. M. Thomas Mathew Marar Lavanyabhavathinte Yukthi Silpam in 2009, Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri Charulatha won in 2010 and K. P. Ramanunni won it in 2011 for Jeevithathinte Pusthakam.
